Hunt The Front Super Dirt Series
Weekend HTF Super Dirt Series Events at Lavonia and Cherokee Canceled Due to Weather
Due to a forecast calling for inclement weather Friday and Saturday, this weekend’s Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series events at Lavonia Speedway and Cherokee Speedway have been canceled. The decision was made jointly between HTF Series officials and the promoters of both racetracks in the interest of fans, teams, and staff.
Cherokee Speedway will move forward with the Mike Duvall Memorial on Sunday afternoon. However, that event will now run exclusively as a Cherokee Chief Super Late Model Series race paying $10,000 to win and will not be sanctioned by the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series or count for series points. The race will still be streamed live on Hunt the Front TV. The Hunt the Front tour will return to Cherokee later this year for the 35th annual Blue-Gray 100 weekend, Oct. 10–11.
Series officials are working with Lavonia Speedway to explore the possibility of rescheduling the Wesley English Memorial for later in the season. Further updates on a potential makeup date will be announced when available.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding and look forward to seeing fans and racers back in action when the series resumes May 16–17 at Sugar Creek Raceway and Smoky Mountain Speedway.
