Mike Duvall Memorial Brings HTF Series Back to Cherokee Speedway Saturday, May 3

The stars of the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series are heading back to Gaffney, S.C.!

On Saturday, May 3, Cherokee Speedway hosts the Mike Duvall Memorial, a $20,000-to-win Super Late Model showdown that marks the return of the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series and continues the six-race Cherokee Chief Series. With one of the richest purses of the season on the line, the South’s top dirt late model drivers are expected to converge on the “Place Your Mama Warned You About” for what promises to be a huge night of racing.

The event pays tribute to the late Mike Duvall, a dirt racing icon and local legend, and it stands as one of the biggest crown jewels on the Cherokee calendar.

In addition to the Super Late Model show, the Mid-East Modified Series will also be in action, racing for $1,000 to win. Thunder Bombers will also race for $1,000 to win, while the Extreme 4 and Crown Vic divisions with each race for $500.

LOCAL DIVISION COMPETITOR NOTES

The Mid-East Modifieds are sanctioned by the Mid-East Modified Tour and will run under series rules and officiating.

Mid-East Modifieds will hot lap (2 laps), qualify (2 laps), and run a feature race.

Thunder Bombers, Extreme 4, and Crown Vics will run under Cherokee Speedway rules and be officiated and teched by Cherokee staff. These divisions will hot lap/qualify (4 laps) and run 20-lap features.
