Hunt The Front Super Dirt Series
Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series Unveils Ambitious 2026 Schedule with 26 Races at 17 Tracks to Decide $50,000 Champion
MILTON, Fla. (Dec. 1, 2025) — With new tracks, returning favorites, and major events that have become staples of Dirt Late Model racing in the Southeast, the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series is set for another landmark season in 2026. The tour’s 26-race schedule spans 17 tracks across six states, beginning with an expanded South Georgia Showdown during Speedweeks at Needmore Speedway and Swainsboro Raceway, and concluding with a Championship Weekend doubleheader at I-75 Raceway in early October.
Now in its fourth year, the Super Late Model tour continues its commitment to providing a schedule that is approachable for Southeast-based race teams of all levels, exciting for fans whether they attend in person or watch online via Hunt the Front TV, and profitable for participating racetracks.
Series drivers will once again chase a $50,000 championship check, part of more than $150,000 in total end of season points fund monies and payouts. The top 10 Loyalty Program drivers in series points are eligible for $500 per track travel money, totaling as much as $7,500 per driver in added support over the full season.
Series Launches with Expanded South Georgia Showdown During Speedweeks
The series will fire out of the gate in January and February with an expanded South Georgia Showdown as part of Dirt Late Model racing’s annual Georgia-Florida Speedweeks slate. Four races each paying $10,000 to win will kick off the new season with Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, Ga., hosting events Friday, Jan. 29 and Saturday Jan. 30 and Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Ga., hosting events Monday, Feb. 1 and Tuesday, Feb. 2.
In a twist designed to add flexibility and competition, only each driver’s best finish from the four Speedweeks events will count toward championship points. This structure allows drivers who are unable to attend these early-season races the option to count the races as one of their drops under the series’ expanded “mulligan rule,” which now allows competitors to drop their two worst points events including races they do not attend from their season tally.
Fan-Favorite Tracks Return to the Tour
Several popular venues return to the series lineup in 2026, including Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss., which hosts the tour June 12–13 for the 18th annual Clash at the Mag. The weekend doubleheader pays $8,000 and $12,000 to win over two nights and marks the HTF tour’s first appearance at the track since its inaugural 2023 season.
Also returning to the series for the first time since 2023, Cochran Motor Speedway in Cochran, Ga., will host the tour June 26 with an $8,000-to-win Friday night show that kicks off a pre-Fourth of July weekend doubleheader alongside Senoia Raceway.
Major Events Continue to Anchor the Schedule
The tour’s most prestigious annual events continue to serve as cornerstones of the schedule:
- The Bama Bash at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Ala., appears on the series schedule for the third straight year as a $12,000-to-win Sunday evening special on March 22. With national touring events in the Southeast every weekend in March, this year’s Bama Bash finds a new home as a Sunday special, following a World of Outlaws Late Model Series doubleheader at nearby Magnolia Motor Speedway.
- Senoia Raceway’s Independence Shootout appears on the HTF Series schedule for the fourth consecutive season, offering $15,000 to the winner on Saturday, June 27.
- Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tenn., again hosts the popular Deep Fried 75, as a doubleheader weekend on July 31 ($8,000 to win) and Aug. 1 ($15,000 to win).
- The tour will again feature a doubleheader weekend at two of the South’s most historic dirt tracks with Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, Ga., hosting a $10,000-to-win show on July 10 and Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, S.C., paying $15,000 to win on July 11.
- Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn., plays host to the King of the Mountain on Aug. 22, a $12,000-to-win Saturday night special following an $8,000-to-win Friday stop at Sugar Creek Raceway in Blue Ridge, Ga.
New Tracks and New Markets Expand the Series
North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Ga., is back on the schedule for a long-awaited debut. While the track has appeared on the tour schedule twice before, weather and scheduling challenges kept the series from taking the green flag. That’s set to change in 2026 with a doubleheader weekend April 10–11 paying $8,000 and $12,000 to win, respectively.
A previously announced Memorial Day weekend megaevent will see the series make its first-ever trip to West Virginia for a three-race holiday swing through the Mountain State. The trek opens Friday, May 22, at Elkins Raceway in Kerens, W.Va., for $10,000 to win, moves to Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, W.Va., on Saturday, May 23, for a $12,000-to-win show, and wraps up Sunday, May 24, at the newly reconfigured West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, W.Va., with a $15,000-to-win main event.
Championship Stretch Features Back-to-Back Doubleheaders
The 2026 title chase comes to a head with two back-to-back doubleheader weekends. Swainsboro Raceway makes its second appearance on the 2026 slate for the fifth annual Southern Showcase Sept. 26–27, with races paying $8,000 and $12,000 to win, respectively. The tour wraps up one week later at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tenn., with an Oct. 2-3 doubleheader also paying $8,000 and $12,000 to win.
Driver Incentives Continue to Raise the Bar
The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series remains a leader among regional Dirt Late Model tours when it comes to driver pay and team support. Key highlights for 2026 include:
- $50,000 to the series champion, with a $135,000 total points split among the top 10
- $5,000 Base Racing Fuel Rookie of the Year Award and a $10,000 total Rookie of the Year points fund
- More than $5,000 in end-of-season cash and contingencies paid in addition to advertised points fund
- $500 in travel money per track for the top 10 Loyalty Program drivers
- Free race entry to all Loyalty Program drivers
- Minimum race payouts of $8,000 to win/$500 to start on Fridays and $12,000 to win/$1,000 to start on Saturdays
2026 Points Fund: 1. $50,000, 2. $25,000, 3. $15,000, 4. $12,000, 5. $10,000, 6. $8,000, 7. $6,000, 8. $4,000, 9. $3,000, 10. $2,000. Plus $1,000 to any driver outside the top 10 in final series points who maintain perfect attendance.
Expanded Mulligan Rule Allows More Flexibility for Racers
The series will expand its mulligan rule in 2026, allowing drivers to drop two races from their season totals — including races they do not attend. This approach is designed to give teams more flexibility to navigate the long season, handle weather disruptions, and manage resources without falling out of the championship hunt. The mulligan rule also gives teams flexibility around the Speedweeks opener, as only one finish from the four races will count toward points and non-attendance will only count as a single drop.
