Whynot's House of Hook Showdown Cancelled Due to Weather

With forecasts calling for wet weather and the potential for strong storms throughout the weekend, officials have made the decision to cancel this weekend’s House of Hook Showdown presented by Elite Excavation at Whynot Motorsports Park.

With the racetrack already heavily saturated from rain earlier in the week, the decision was made with the safety of race teams, fans, and staff as the top priority, along with ensuring a quality racing surface. The event will not be rescheduled.

The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series returns to action Memorial Day weekend with the tour’s first-ever trip to West Virginia, featuring three straight nights of racing beginning May 22 at Elkins Speedway in Kerens, W.Va., paying $10,000 to win. The action continues May 23 at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, W.Va., with a $12,000-to-win event, before wrapping up May 24 at West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, W.Va., with a $15,000-to-win finale.
